Before becoming an RCC, I worked for many years in community mental health programs with Fraser Health Authority, MCFD, and Crisis Lines that served clients ages 13-30. In my work with child, youth and young adult populations, I grew to understand the many unique challenges young people face today.
To support my work with children and youth, I obtained training in Trauma-Focused CBT which is a gold-standard for helping support children and youth in an evidence-based way through trauma.
TF-CBT has also been shown to be effective in supporting youth with mood disorders, or grief.

I offer family sessions as part of my work with Youth and Young Adults through TF-CBT.
Trauma-focused CBT often offers initial family education sessions, and family sessions later in counselling to support your child when it is beneficial to aid with collaboratively supporting their growth within their home, work, or school environments.
